my long-time favorite. easy to find, yet miraculously a source of many good things. i've been here more times than i can remember and this is where i bring stuff that i want to get rid of. hipster count tends to be low; friends confirm that this is also their fave.

clothes, unusual kitchen implements, some really tempting furniture, super 8 cameras, the flowered sewing box that houses my video camera... i've found them all here. should be your first stop on any durham thrifting expedition.

this store has recently moved over to the lakewood shopping center, which is also the home of the salvation army thrift store and the new duke surplus store. how convenient! three thrift stores in one low end strip mall. if you don't walk away from here with at least one treasure, you're doing it wrong.
